urgent aspergers

Good morning everyone

I would appreciate help on rubrics - possible rx to look at
patient with aspergers diagnosis
doesn't recognise need to eat unless someone places food in front of him and then eats a little but thinks he is eating okay
All food has to be separated on the plate
can't mix anything
doesn't want to look at self in a mirror so tends to not know if is dishevelled
very thin

Patient used to not mix with anyone but have used bar-c to good effect and now his self-confidence levels are better and he is holding a job and interacting at least with boss and feels some sense of belonging with coworkers as long as he has his own set space to work in.
ligh/noise have been an irriation but is better now
bowels have been locked up due to tension within whole body his whole life but they are going daily now.
Forgets to take medicine often
is very 'robotic' in dealings with others - seems to have no sensations easily

any ideas appreciated

Why????

Sounds as if you are doing great with Bar C. have you tried going up on
potency . Never change a Rx which is going well.

You don't need rubrics for Aspergers!!!!!!= remember DO NOT prescribe on
the disease prescribe on the presentation within the person in front of you
as you would in all homoeopathic consults. I have a lot of clients with
Aspergers = The remedies I have used are so wide from calc to anhal. to
tar.to manc. etc. that it continually inspires in me the nature of
homoeopathic prescribing = remember this!!!!

but I wasn't asking to prescribe on the diagnosis - that was for information
only as to give the rounded out possibilities of the picture

Well said- We do not prescribe based on names / diagnosis. A remedy
that comes up after analysis may not have cured the condition till
now because it might not have been used for it. First arrive at a
remedy based on symptoms and if needed for added confirmation you
can see if it had cured something like it- but that is not a must
for the prescription to be made...

( I know there are people who would want to use this to accuse me of
saying that diagnosis is not important but little do I care about
it...)

Absent mindedness, Trance states, Somnambulistic, Stupid, Stupor,
Distance feeling, Far away feeling, Confusion, Lack of confidence,
Timid, Awkward,idiocy, Imbecility, Loss of will power, Concentration
difficult, Memory weak, Dulness, Comprehension slow, Perception
diminished, Taciturn, Indifferent etc. might be some of the related
rubrics.

If you are looking for related states, remedies for Autism should
work as should remedies for Mental retardation,

In repertory the relevant rubrics for mental retardation and chronic
schizophrenia with negative symptoms are the ones that would yield
the closest picture.

Since in olden days these people would have been classified with
mentally retarded that is where you need to look for the remedies
that would be effective. Even in your case , Bar-c seems to have
worked.

I take some umbrage at this, as I often do with regard to children or
adults who have special needs when they are categorised as being
mentally retarded. I tend to think we are all brilliant at, at least,
one thing in our lives and no less so for children/adults with special
needs and this includes those with so called asperger's syndrome. In
fact people with extra special needs can show remarkable abilities in
certain areas and this has been clinically noted with people who has
been diagnosed with Aspergers and Autism and I would like to extend
this to all who have very special needs. Given the chances and
opportunities this can and does occur. I have treated many children
with special needs and I would say that every one has shown a spectrum
of excellence. This special ability can also help to define the
simillimum as many so called sx of states described as being that of
special needs tend to be common, so if you are looking for SRP sx this

Joy-
No umbrage needed. I am not saying that these patients are mentally
retarded. Our repertories might have the medicines classified under
these rubrics having been written not with a clear understanding of
their states. After all we do not look for signs of health and
brilliance when we repertorize.

My suggestion is how to look and where to look for rubrics - not a
personal commentary on any of these patients faculties.
