Poison: 12 Toxic Tales

Many of you probably saw the National Geographic issue
with the cover story "Poison: 12 Toxic Tales" with the subtitle
"The Poison Paradox: too much can kill, a little can cure". No
mention of homeopathy in that August science magazine, of course.
It lists the following poisons. We have made remedies and
done provings of a lot of them but we have a ways to go!
Arsenic
Botulinum toxin
Zyklon B (hydrogen cyanide)
orange food coloring
dioxin
1200 kinds of toxic marine animals
700 toxic fish including puffer fish (Takifugi rbripes)
400 venomous snakes
60 poisonous ticks
75 poisonous scorpions
200 poisonous spiders (specifically mentioned tarantulas, black widows,
brown recluse)
750 plant poisons in 1000 species including ricin and urushi tree (of
Japan)
several birds that are poisonous to touch
ergot
Thallium
nicotine
1080 rat poison
strychnine
anthrax
dimethylmercury
Vitamin A (hypervitaminosis)
Vitamin D
Oxygen
