That, precisely, is one of the main reasons it's often wise to work homeopathically along with allopathic treatment.

Personally, I think that persuading someone not to have surgery to remove a removeable tumor is unconscionable hubris. Surgical removal doesn't cure the disease, but it certainly can prolong life for many people with little overall damage to the Vital Force.

As I've discussed on this list, allopathic cancer treatment doesn't even present the worst possible scenario for the Vital Force, and in some cases the ratio of risks and benefits actually makes it a reasonable short-term treatment choice -- in some cases not, but those are situations generally where the person has a cancer that can't be cured or even slowed down substantially by known means.

Oddly, no one ever spashes a huge headline proclaiming "Chemotherapy Killed my Wife." No sensational news value????

Come, now, Rosemary: don't we all know (as we're told to believe) that
chemotherapy SAVES lives? That it "BEATS" cancer?

We'll never see this headline in any newspaper or journal, even though so
many people people know how toxic and devastating and destructive it is,
first hand.

Simon, you can rest assured that ARH has responded, as it responded to a
Daily Mail article some few months ago. I spoke to David Needleman about the
earlier article only yesterday. He has been in contact with the Editor, and
Lord Rothermere (the Proprietor) and he feels that he has got absolutely
nowhere!

I know that several ARH registered homeopaths have written to the editor
already about this, but whether this does any good is perhaps doubtful. The
press in the UK are having an enormous battle to occupy the gutter, and
basically they can say whatever they like, as long as it sells newspapers,
without any responsibility for the truth or fact. After all, they would not
want the facts to get in the way of a good story!

Yes folks it's true!
Front page headlines in the Daily Mail today "Homeopathy killed my
wife"!
Front page!
'At last we know homeopathy works' I thought to myself, 'it must do if
it can kill!'
'Hooray!' I slavered as I prepared to read the article, 'homeopathy is
no longer relegated to the ranks of placebo, it can kill, it can kill
it can kill'

But no, on skimming the article I find it has nothing to do with
homeopathy per se but some allegation that a homeopath recommended a
patient stop conventional cancer treatment and that's what killed them.

My good sense prevails and I stop reading the rest of this crap.

Thank heavens I have the organisations that represent homeopaths (SOH,
ARH, HMA etc) to rely on to address this mud slinging.
I can rest in the sure knowledge that they will give the paper a right
toasting and not let my profession be brought into disrepute by what is
tantamount to libel or slander, I'm not sure which but my blood might
boil if I think about it too hard. They will point out that registered
members are bound by codes of practice that prevent just this sort of
thing and question the motives behind this sort of reporting and all
will be well and all will be well and all manner of thing will be well.

It will won't it?

This front page 'headliner' for their "Health
pages" actually said, in big caps: HOMEOPATHY - 'How
Homeopathy killed my wife'. Inside is a two page article
damning Homeopathy, but the whole article is not just about one
or two homeopaths in West London who were not (by the sound
of the prescriptions) homeopaths at all -- as one claimed to have
told the lady before she died of cancer, she was "cured" -- and
used something called Vita Fons II water at a cost of £18 for 85
ml (£210 a litre according to the report). There was also an
envelope marked "Berlin Wall. Toxic. Do not touch". . .
No further comment needed really.

Unfortunately, they end the article by quoting a spokesman from
the BHA, who said ["Unfortunately not all homeopaths are
medically qualified and there is no statutory regulation. This
means anyone can set up as a homeopath without scrutiny." To
check a practitioner is listed in the Faculty of Homeopaths, visit
www.trusthomeopathy.org.]

I wish I could send an url for the article, but a search was
fruitless. Maybe someone else will be more successful, but I
can't find a link page.
