Hello all,

Cannot remember if it was this list that there was a discussion some
time ago about magnets and homeopathy. I think the general consensus
was that they would interfere with the action of the homeopathic
medicines or be an obstacle to cure.

I have been treating a 87 year old man over the past 6 weeks with
Sulphur for osteomyelitis. He and his wife sleep on magnetic underlays
and he has been wearing magnetic bands around his affected leg. The
remedy was prescibed in the LM potencies and had been working well
through any magnetic interference that may be occurring.

The discharging sinus has closed (not uncommon before another pustular
buildup produces another sinus) but for the first time in 23 years he
can walk without pain or limp, is sleeping well at night (insomnia had
been a problem), generally feels better and has had a number of other
typical Sulphur symptoms resolve.

So, in this case, magnets do not seem to be creating an obstacle to
cure. They could not even save him from a similar aggravation when he
continued to take his medicine after being told to watch and wait.

Thanks, Fran. Yes, it was this list, and the concensus was that magnets do interfere with remedies, substantially. Perhaps it depends what the remedies are??? The earth itself is a magnet and considering sulphur plays such a huge
part in life forms then the two probably have quite a useful
relationship.

Zincum is one of the main antidotes to the magnet rx and Sulphur is
such a great antidote to many toxic states it certainly would have the
power to deal with magnets.

Thanks Fran this sort info is invaluable. Its the only way we can
sort the wheat from the chaff in our homeopathic theoretical
construct. There is a long way to go - unfortunately we have a
way of adding to the chaff quicker than we sort the old stuff out. I
still find the question of magnets puzzling, e.g. if people are
making remedies using magnets how is it that magnets dont in
the same way disorganise remedies? I hope your experience
can be verified many times over as it is a concern. Each time we
send a remedy in the post it gets zapped many times - in the
sorting office machinery, vehicles etc. Even carrying your remedy
case in the car subjects it to huge electromagnetic fields.
Passenger foot wells are one of the worst areas. Its always
made me nervous, not least about the effect its having on me!

I think the only *remedies* that are disturbed by magnetism are (some?)
radionically made remedies. The ones made by dilution and succussion
don't seem to be magnet-sensitive, at least not so far as I've noticed
or heard. But (some of?) the little remedy making machines apparently
use magnets, and I think those are the ones that can be disrupted by
magnetism.

But the remedy's (even a succussion-made) *action* in the patient can
be disrupted by magnetism (e.g. the field put out by an electric
blanket). Is that what you were referring to?
