not in stomach

Patient in shock after finding out her husband had an affair after finding out more things is unable to concentrate on anything and says she has a knot in her stomach all day. Other than Anxiety in Stomach is there anything rubric I have missed. Ignatia 10M has helped to a certain extent but is not holding. The anxiety is to do with disease (whether she has an STD) and financial.
Thanks
Rochelle

Could you ask her to describe in more detail the "knotted" sensation? (I wonder about "lump," "stone,"... -- but I wouldn't want to put the words in her mouth.).
Ailments from bad news, plus "Stomach knotted sensation in" plus anxiety about own health and certainly about business, plus concentration difficult -- the remedy indicated across these rubrics could be Bry, but I'd want to see confirmatory symptoms and/ or look at other alternatives with a larger rubric for the "knotted" based on an expanded definition from her.

Hi Rochelle
How about Calc?
Fear of infection or is it Delusion that she will be infected( of
getting syphilis because husband's affair with another possibly
infected woman?)- Calc ( I remember this symptom because I have
prescribed based on this for an osteo arthritis patient)
Anxiety in stomach - cramps - Calc
Anxiety - Financial matters - Calc.Fl ( Scar tissue? Infidelity
causing a scar? Unable to forgive or forget? - (Hey I am getting
good at this stuff)
Did you also think of Staph? Phos.acid?
Anxiety from vexation - Acon
Anxiety - with pain in umbilical region - Plat has this as well as
delusion of being alone in the world...
Vexation - cannot free herself from past vexations - Sulphur ( Acon
( above) as Anxiety from Vexation-
Do we see a pattern here? Acon, Sulphur, Calc?
Is she inclined to work more or less because of the anxiety?

Hello, perhaps it is a sensation that should be explored further as knotted
can be the same as cramp or gripping and a number of other adjectives. I
think I would want to place the fear of disease and especially as it is a
sexual disease she is concerned about, much higher as being important. Would
you want to look at feelings of disgust or something along these lines and
maybe one of the milk remedies like Lac caninum that has a terrible feeling
of being rejected and then they blame themselves and doubt about their own
existence creeps in and develop ideas about being diseased. I think it is
about being degraded. I guess her outward expression as to what has happened
to her is also very important. Thanks. Kerry

Dear Rochelle, sometimes Nit Ac can come up for this esp if the anxiety is
actually rooted in anger and resentment (re the affair) and the financial
problems are caused by the infidelity (and therefore resented and
unforgiven ). This can cause one to take the emotions on somatically into
the stomach and cardiac region (almost heart broken). The level of
resentment and ability to forgive or not would lead you to Nit ac though the
patient may be unaware of this as to cope one often pushes it into the
physical to cope and all you see is the anxiety.
Just a thought. Often Nit ac has a worry about disease - usually cancer but
I have found when anxious it can be others.

(PS am sending this to your email also as I never seem to be able to post
through to Minitus even though I have been reading the list for about 18mths
