CD Herbs

The following is a cut & paste e-mail response from the web cite
shared recently via minutus regarding herbal information. I'm
sharing this with everyone as it addresses the profoundly
inappropriate use of herbs and labeling it herbal medicine.
The issue is that the assessment of an herb is done on the basis of
its pharmaceutical action. This is not herbal medicine, this is
pharmaceutical medicine. It is a cultural response to Tx symptoms
and/or diseases.
Herbal medicine shares concepts with homeopathy in the intention to
Tx the vital force, not symptoms or diseases.
The difficulty for the public to understand herbal or homeopathic
usage ought not to lessen the standard of application of our
concepts and philosophical orientation. Use such information with
caution.

"The CD was made with a western methodology in mind. Originally we
had
noticed that most information published for the patient to date was
confusing or written in such a manner that made it difficult for
them. Most
of the herbal information is written in a pharmaceutical format."
