muscle-testing reliable?

Dear all,
Do you know of any downsides to muscle-testing? For instance, is
it possible to find more than one rem at a time that tests as needed (is
that a downside?)? Might one miss a rem because it doesn't test as
needed? Or maybe finding a needed rem but missing the bigger picture rem
because one stops looking when a test is positive?
Thanks for any experience that bears on this. I've found
muscle-testing to be valuable re determining dose, potency, and rem choice, but
wonder if I'm missing something. (I'm not a practitioner, treat
only myself and my family and a friend or two). Many thanks.
