I JUST JOINED THE GROUP

Dear Group,
I have difficulty breathing and the usual medications like
bronchodilators, steroids etc have had absolutely no beneficial
effect. I am
not really into homeopathy, in fact I think it is lot of bull but
who knows I could be wrong. I usually get an attack when I have
certain foods to eat. Sometimes a stomach upset could trigger it
off. I seem to be allergic to dog dander and even human dander when
they become airborne. Homeopathic remedies are freely available,
where I live, so I'll be grateful if any of you could advise me on
what I should take for my problem.
Thanks.

Would you expect a doctor to prescribe for you on a discussion list?
Don't expect it here.
See a homeopath

You won't find the quick fix solution you're looking for here

It doesn't matter whether or not you "believe" in homeopathy - but you should understand that to get the best results you need to consult with a qualified Hoepathic practitioner - you really would not expect to get a decent prescription from a professional practitioner just over the internet - that WOULD be quackery! There are many remedies that could help your problems, but in order to get both the correct remedy AND the correct dosage, etc, you really need to bite the bullet and make that appointment. Over the counter medicines are frerquently of little benefit for the chronic and complex conditions - and that goes for "conventional" medicine too.

Hi alakeshwar,

What Simon is trying to say is... :-)
The things you are describing are chronic issues (and perhaps dangerous
as well). Although acute illnesses and trauma can be very
straightforward to prescribe for, anything chronic must be handled
personally, one-to-one, with an appropriately trained prescriber who
will follow your case over whatever period of time is necessary, and
gather whatever additional information might be needed as things
progress. It's definitely not a service that this list can provide,
much as we would all love to.

There are on-line prescribing services if you prefer to try that, tho
in-person visits are best, if you have a qualified prescriber
available. Would you like help exploring your options?

I admire your candor concerning your opinion of homeopathy! And since
you are asking here nonetheless, I am guessing that you are very
motivated to find *some* solution to your problem. That's a good
beginning! Many people have come to homeopathy for just the same
reason, and then came to love it for the depth and power of its
results.

Let us know if you'd like help in finding a homeopath to work with, or
if you'd like to be pointed at books or websites where you can learn
more about it. Altho the cost can look like a problem in the beginning
(and may in fact be a problem for someone whose resources are very
limited), in the medium-term and long-term homeopathy is *FAR* cheaper
than allopathy; the medicines cost only a fraction as much, and also in
many cases homeopathy will *cure*, not just palliate, so that over time
one needs less and less medicine, and fewer and fewer visits. Also it
can cure with a depth and grace that drug therapy can't begin to touch;
homeopathy can cure the spirit, as well as the body. (But for someone
whose spirit is doing just fine thankyou, homeopathy does indeed cure
the body too.)

Best wishes,
Shannon

Shannon, I love that reply.

Wish every enquirer gets such a one as this. My prescriber gave me a
irritated look when asked something like 'how it works?' As long as
this is the case , no new comer will gain that interest. But leave
it, I am in India, where it is a BIG survival question, low fees,
hectic competition, no time for curious guys!

Yes good reply Shannon,

I find it hard to answer gracefully when the enquirer states that they
don't expect it to work.... but they want a quick fix anyway and by
the way.... can you do it for free.

Just rubs me up the wrong way

Simon

LOL, I know what you mean! :-))
But as a maligned minority, I guess we ought to get good at taking it
in stride.
I think you were caught off-balance because we consider this list "our
turf".
But isn't it interesting, how we are having more and more of the
"unconverted"
coming for advice? I guess that's good news!
:-)
