foot in mouth disease

hello list!
Just in for some tests and pain management. Today I'm feeling pretty good.
Writing from my computer in the Mary Potter Hospice in Wellington.

I am quite touched by the outpouring of support from the world-wide
homeopathic community. However, a little chastising is called for....
(oh God! here he goes again!)

When one becomes involved in homeopathy it is SOOOO easy to think you
can save everyone-- individuals through the entire world. The call of
the remedy is certainly a siren call-- but we often forget the rocks
on which the boats were dashed when sailors heeded the call of those
deadly women....

None of you know anything about my case, although some know a bit
more than others... You hear "severe constipation" and "opium,
plumbum, colocynthis, platina" roll out before you can blink. Do you
not think that I've tried them all?

The danger of these lists is that of offering remedial advice without
knowing anything of the case. It has been going on for years.

Yes. I know about metamucil. Yes. we DO have psyllium seeds here in
NZ. Yes. I know about bulking. But do you know that until they can do
a scan and (perhaps) a diagnosis that I am supposed to be
*non-bulking* and on a low residue diet?

Please! I appreciate your support in a general way. I do NOT need
homeopathic or herbal advice. I HAVE a homeopath who is doing very
well by me. Prayers and thoughts are fine. Specific remedy
suggestions are NOT needed and are, the very thing that scares me
about the list-- people knowing little of homeopathy accepting input
from folks who know little about the case at hand-- from people who
are willing to make a suggestion based upon a single symptom that
happens to be mentioned.

You should all know better than that.

Go back and read about case-taking in the Organon.

Dear Julian,

Thanks to be always the same, very critical, and "putting clock at
the right hour".

We know you are one of the best. Many Homeopaths should read Organon
, Hering.. to understand law of prescription and follow up of
cases....

You went to the hospital, you get artificial morphine. It is very
nice to be painless, I agree. No problem for an homeopath.
As Pierre SCHMIDT taught us (I met him for the first time in 1959,
before going in his flat to learn homeopathy) the advantage with
allopathic MD is that we know exactly what they are doing, what they
give us and the target they would reach. Often homeopathic
prescription is done and the Homeopath don't know what will happen,
so you are right to be careful with all partial advice you get for
you.

I imagine that your homeopath is nearly as intelligent and
perspicacious as you are. One suggestion d: don't read ravings.

Please to meet you again, in California, Europe or may be NZ. I am
sorry to have missed your last trip in Europe. As we know life is not
always what we want.

Best to you Be well.

I SEE !!

The allopath sees or wants to see the pathological grounds for each
symptom forgetting that the external essence of the internal
disturbance is what counts . This much was told us by none other that
Hahnemann who himself had to unlearn much to become the much
hated "homeopath'.

As for me I see the doctor and the homeopath as the same as long as
they respect the laws of homeopathy and behave as the artists they
are expected to be. Never as routinists. (Ironically, the doctors
were at the forefront of the scam that took homeopathy to a gutter
with their pathological approach- this for that that disease. Ask
Julian, he will know better than both of us.

Often homeopathic

Tell me a single homeopath/ doctor who knows exactly what a remedy
does. The fact is no one has known. The wisest among us has concluded
that it is IMPOSSIBLE for any one to master even a single remedy
COMPLETELY in their lifetime.

With regard to knowing what a remedy will do, both homeopath and allopathic doctor are working towards cure when possible. In that sense both expect improvement from medicines. In terms of knowing what to expect after prescribing, the problem for homeopaths is more when you don't know what will happen in terms of aggravation, when homeopathy can harm. That's why the methods in the 6th Organon make such a difference.
