TMJ Off Topic

Post by Jeremy Crowley »

Hi Rochelle
I find TMJ problems respond very well to a combination of Homeopathy and the
Bowen Technique or NST (a variation of the Bowen technique). Bowen is very
gentle and relaxing, and has gaps in the treatment when you can consult materia
medica etc. :) Much more gentlethan osteopathy or Chiropractors.

All manner of problems can respond to work on the TMJ particularly
palpitations, (the vagas nerve controls most internal organs including the heart and
runs very close to the TMJ,
Best wishes from Jeremy

Long before I knew much about homeopathy I was diagnosed with TMJ and given
a 'guard' to wear at night. I finally learned the 'specialist' was
inappropriately using this diagnosis to accumulate travel funds (yup - he skipped to
the islands). Much later, a proper dentist adjusted my bite with a series of
grindings. That eliminated the mandibular problems but did nothing for the
supposedly associated migraines. That was later handled by homeopathy. If
there is a structural problem - it should be addressed first - by an
experienced dental professional. Then re-take the homeopathic portion of the case -
you may find the symptoms change.

Thanks for that. She saw my osteopath today and had some cranial treatment from her. We will see how it goes in the next few days. Thanks to all who have responded to my query.
