Glad to have brightened up your day.
I was responding to the suggestion that the anniversary was not being
celebrated in UK because of conflicts between registering bodies (and that
HAW was a solely SOH affair!). And observing that a measure of cooperation
does exist or CORH would not exist.
Presenting a cohesive approach to the media is another ball game entirely.
You are probably right about the need for a cooperative approach - but it is
always so easy to know what other people *should* be doing and to knock what
they *are* doing. I personally don't have the time to challenge every media
misconception so I am not going to stamp my feet because other people are
not doing it to my satisfaction.I haven't had the time to put into CORH
either and am glad that others have made the time. Perhaps you could
organise rebuttals of media misinformations on homeopathy, write them up and
present them directly or via the organisations back to the media. Perhaps if
a co-ordinator is needed you should be it. Every new concept or idea needs
someone to stand up and put in the energy and do the work initially to get
it off the ground and it can't always be 'someone else'.

the will. At the moment that does not exist.

I understand this cannot be always be someone else, I would be happy
to do this, but who is going to fund it?
No one is asking you to stamp your feet, I am simply pointing out a
glaring failing, about which nothing is being done.
It is not a question of it being easy to criticise, this is something
that has been obvious for a very long time with ample oportunity to be
addressed

On the one hand we have Karin Mont (chair of the ARH) writing in the
Homeopathy in Practice magasine how we undervalue ourselves as
homeopaths (i.e. not charging enough) and the various Associations
(SOH, HMA, ARH etc.) and community expecting individuals to do the
marketing and media defending of homeopathy FREE on the other.

Like you neither I, nor I suspect anyone else, has the time free to do
this free.
I am not knocking what IS being done by the associations but what is
NOT being done.
My contention is that what is not being done should have been a much
higher priority from a very long time ago.

I maintain that it is the duty of the registering bodies to take a more
active part in the marketing of homeopathy.
Which organisation sets aside funding for this?
It is not as though the membership fees they charge are insignificant,
so some of this money should be earmarked for the job of protecting and
promoting homeopathy, exclusively and over and above the promotion of
any one individual organisation.

We are all (in the UK) glad that CORH represents some accord between
the different registering bodies ( finally!) but other than trying to
untie the knotty problem of setting up a single register what have
they done to promote homeopathy TO THE PUBLIC?
Apart from the HAW drop in the ocean, and the very occasional media
response blip, there is nothing - nor as far as I'm aware has it been
proposed as a priority

The registering bodies ARE the industry's representatives. When will
they understand that the bulk of this responsibility lies outside the
jostling for position WITHIN the homeopathic community?
