Minutus

I have my first case of Parkinson's (age 59 but looked 70) in although that is not what he came for!! He came for sinus problems. I noticed it when he walked up the drive but he left it off his form he filled in and didn't actually tell me until 10 mins into the consultation. I gave him Kali Mur 6 and he agg on it with a condition that he says is part of Parkinson's but I can't find any reference to this. The Kali Mur did alleviate the sinus problems for a short while but he won't try any more. He only took 2 doses. I gave him this while I work out a constitutional Rx which I have just started doing.

The symptoms are spasms in the stomach which creep along the diaphragm (according to him) and through to the back. It feels as if his stomach is set in concrete and the spasms are through this.He says when he initially told the consultant that it went through to the back it initiated the tests for Parkinson's He also had a hiatus hernia and Barratts oesophagus and an endoscopy was clear.

My question to the Medical Doctors is have they heard of this stomach problem as common to Parkinson's or is it a SRP related to the patient. Not a clue about what Rx to give him yet and even if it will work as he has been on Ropinerol for 3 months and feeling worse for it!! He is also on Losec.

He goes on about the best days of his life were in the army between the age of 18 and 21 - He loved the excitement but got out because he thought he would be stuck in boring Germany and he wanted action. He enjoyed the bullets zipping around. He also felt he was becoming an action loving person and he didn't want to be like that. (He caught liver fluke in Borneo and had very strong drug therapy for this).

Had a lady come in with familial tremor (previously diagnosed as Parkinson's) also with sinus problems. Found that she did very well using Neti pot to clean sinuses. I was concerned that the sinus symptoms did not seem to fit into her overall constitutional picture, and it turned out to be environmental. Also found the tremor did very well with Mag Phos (6x) - something to consider with the 'spasm' symptom. Fascinating that your case aggrivated on Kali Mur 6 - do you use liquid? You may have a slow time finding the constitutional if he is having symptoms aggrivated by his pharmaceuticals, in which case, the cell salts (such as Mag Phos or Calc Phos) may be helpful to consider. In my case it gave the lady relief from constant tremor, which allowed her to rest better, be more active, etc - a trickle down effect of better health and attitude. We are now able to work on a constitutional level and seeing remarkable results. She is now a very vocal advocate of homeopathy.

Thanks for that- Yes I actually told him to get some Mag Phos Tissues salts as I don't keep them in stock. I used Kali Mur 6 pillules and was thinking of making in up as a water potency or a medicating liquid for him to try as quite frankly I want to know if he has this agg again!! I don't know anything about Neti pots although I have heard of them. I didn't see the tremor in him at all but the shuffling gait is bad and drugged up feeling he is getting from his medication. I suggested that he discuss with his consultant about changing it as it has done no god what so ever except make him feel drugged up and distant. He has cur down on the dose with permission as well. This is also complicated by the fact that his neurologist on seeing a head scan saw signs of a slight stroke.
