silica and rejecting implants

I have a case of a child who presents a clear silica picture. He also
has lens implants in his eyes because he was born with cataracts.
Now, all the books say that silica causes rejection, but has anyone
seen it happen? Can you refer to any recent articles or posts that
discuss using silica in people with implants of any kind?
Would there be a way to give this child silica, which is so clearly
indicated, in, say, tissue salt potency?
Thanks.
