Normally, 3 teaspoons make a tablespoon. This is universal. According to
what you have written above:

1. tablespoon is 1/2 ounce = 240 grains.
2. teaspoon = 30 grains.

The 30 grains (teaspoon) to 240 grain (tablespoon) is a completely
different ratio than 1 to 1/3 associated with a tablespoon and teaspoon?
What you have written is that a teaspoon is 1/8 of a tablespoon. Shouldn't
a teaspoon be 80 grains?
Yes, 0.062g = O.062ML x 240 = 14.88, which is almost 14.9ML. This is
almost the same as the modern SI measurements which is 15ML = 1/2 ounce =
15 grams = 300 grains.

It looks like the modern SI measurements simply averaged out the old
European system to the nearest round figure. In the old German measurements
the grain is slightly bigger but they used less of them to make a tablespoon.
Other than the teaspoon to tablespoon ratio I understand.

By definition, 1 ml distilled water weighs 1 gram at standard temperature and pressure conditions.

If you dissolve anything in the water [e.g. alcohol or any other electrolyte], or use non-distilled water [which is the same] - you get a chemical solution - and this has a different weight per cc, which depends on its concentration and other variables such as temperature and pressure.

The Unzen mentioned above are of course what was used in those ancient
times (and these differed even then depending of country etc.)
Therefore I think the Gran is the best way to calculate, as this is the
smallest unity.

I wondered about that, too, I admit, as I'm also used to seeing a tsp as
about 4-5 ml.
But he explicitely writes:

- einen Theelöffel (cochl. pro thea) ein halbes Quentchen
(1 tsp.= 1/2 Quentchen).

1 Quentchen defined as having 3 Skrupel,
1 Skrupel defined as having 20 Gran.

So 1 Quentchen = 60 Gran.
1/2 Quentchen would be 30 Gran.

According to Hahnemann's Apothekerlexikon.

In ml this would be 1,86 ml.

So I went, filled a syringe with 1,8ml of water. took out one of my
normal tea-spoon, gave the water onto the tea-spoon:
yes, the normal tea-spoon gets filled with this quantity. There is still
a little bit of space left, but just the normal one, necessary not to
spill it when taking it to the mouth.
