Shannon; I've used Syphilinum constitutionally with great results.
What would you like to know?

Well, that's a start, tell me more! I assumed you used it because
"indicated remedies" weren't acting or weren't holding? Could you tell
me what potency you used and why, and what happened then? ("Dig up the
family cat..." Er, was the cat dead, or ??)
Thanks!

Hi - too long ago to find the file easily (moved since). From recollection, the px had
symptoms of both Stram. and Syph., and the Stram. wasn't acting as deeply as I felt
it should, so hence the Syph., in a 30c only (I think). Erm ... I'm presuming the
animal was deceased ! If the cat wasn't dead before, it certainly was after ... :-/

PS: Yes, it was dead, of course....

(Okay, sorry for the stupid question, LOL!)
I'm happy to hear you used a 30c, 'cause the prospect of giving a 10M
(as I was told to give syph) of a remedy I'm not sure of is part of
what I'm so queasy about!
If you do remember any more of what indicated syph to you, I would love
to hear. I'm just trying to broaden my picture and understanding of
the remedy...
Thanks!

				Thanks Tamara,
I feel i have a limited "picture" of the remedy, and am trying to get a
better understanding of when and how it might be useful. A couple of
people I'm working with have definite syphilitic aspects to their
personal and family histories, and I'm perpetually "stuck" with them,
so I'm wondering about giving syphilinum, but don't feel clear enough
about it, esp. since I was told it should always be given
high--10M!--and I guess I want a lot more clarity before I do that!
The few cases I've read of syphilinum were all very full-blown ones,
involving (as I remember) skull deformities, destructiveness and/or
self-destructiveness, very marked mental symptoms, etc. The folks I'm
working with don't have anything that dramatic...
I guess I would love to hear things like, what indications led you to
syph, what other remedies were considered (or acted well before or
after), what potency did you use, what was the response? Just an
outline, maybe?
Thanks!
Shannon

				Hi again Shannon,
Reading your message to Tamara reminded me that Bailey gives the best
outline of
characteristic Syph symptoms I can recall. I think he gave David
Bowie as an
example (one green, one blue eye) but also his character. There is
an association
with death, night, and an attraction to all things others might find
ghoulish...
The earlier email about wanting to dig up the cat is an example of
the fascination,
yet disgust, of Syph.
Hope others chip in.

Ah, the good ol' Goth culture? Thanks, that does help.
Do you know the name of the book that would be in? I see "Homeopathic
Psychology", covering "35 major remedies" (I don't think syph is
considered a "major" one, is it?)
