There is - swollen, retina. But I would also look under choroiditis, the
choroid being the path whereby blood is supplied to the retina and where the
aneurism might have occurred?? But I would also include any visual problems
she might have. If there is a problem with sight still then there are the
degeneration rubrics in vision rubrics etc. But of course the underlying
Diabetes needs to be addressed.

I have a long term patient (age 30) who has been a diabetic since age 12 .
6 years ago she had a micro aneurysm in her left eye which burst and has
disappeared. She has now been told that she has slight oedema on her retina
and although it doesn't need treatment it will be checked every 3 months.
Has anyone come across and treated anything like this before. Is there a
rubric that would cover it?
