That the remedy Arsenic Iodide given in LM potency is one of the most
effective and deeply acting remedies available for the treatment of Eczema
and Psoriasis?
The remedy works well taken once daily at night and will remove known
aggravations due to its LM blessing.
Ars Iod if given in normal potency can have disastrous results as it brings

Dr AU Ramakrishnan called Ars Iod 6 - homeopathic penicillin

It is good to get information from clinical use of rems such as Ars. iod due
to lack of provings. This makes the list very important to convey
information that otherwise may not be available to all.

Interestingly, Ars. iod in Allen's Pure mat med. only had 2 provers, one
taking 1x and the other 2x.
Here are the ONLY skin symptoms that were recorded from these, and they were
both from prover no.2.

Skin
- Itching on various parts of the body (after two and a quarter hours),
[_a2].
- Persistent itching on various parts of the body, especially of the back,
[_a2].

Reference in the reps for eczema is from Boericke, and Kent, and for
Psoriasis, Hering and Kent.

Here are the skin symptoms from Hering

Persistent itching on various parts of body, most of back.-Bl.
- ¤ Chronic skin affections.
- ¤ Psoriasis, the inflamed and scaly eruption almost covered the child.

Now, at the beginning of Herings info he mentions that the info he had came
from cases of pthisis, that had come to the seaside to convalesce - and the
3rd decimal potency plus codliver oil was given to these patients daily.

If looking through the info, it can be gleaned that the symptoms recorded
are to do with serious lung conditions.
Based on our understanding of how lung and skin are connected, it may be a
clue as to the use of Ars. iod in skin conditions.

Maybe, the skin of Ars iod, is the result of treatment of the lung problems,
which would seem to be in the right direction for healing - and this could
be a clue as to when Ars. iod may be of use. However, the lung issue needs
to be kept in mind incase the rem pushes the skin complaint back to the
lung.

Here is some info from Parimal Banerji regarding this remedy and the lack of
proving information
The totality below is the only one Banerji has been at the time of writing
able to clinically confirm for Ars. iod.

ARSENICUM IODATUM 1X
This drug has been proved on deplorably fewer occasions in comparison with
other salts of Arsenicurn. In fact its symptoms as we find enlisted in the
Materia Medica were mostly taken from patients under treatment rather than
from healthy provers. Most of these recorded symptoms are, clinical
symptoms. Some symptoms were produced while treating patients of lung
tuberculosis Allopathically with this drug and were recorded in the Materia
Medica. So, direct clinical results were taken from the use of this medicine
for our Homoeopathic use. Further proving may corroborate this.
Some doctors made the proving on some persons and found some corrosive
discharges from nose, etc., thick and yellow in character, and, being guided
by this, they could report stray cures. One such cure is reported by Kent,
but this can never be a guiding or reliable principle.
The main effect for curing some symptoms has been observed in the cases of
pulmonary tuberculosis, where it is recommended, especially in this potency
and not in hypothetically recommended high potencies. Further research on
advanced method under this Advanced Homoeopathy may reveal further groups of
curable symptoms in future.
GROUP A - I

Sneezing and coryza.

Wheezing in chest "on first lying down".

Asthmatic breathing at night and has to sit up for relief.

Expectorations heavy during night and morning of muco-purulent phlegm.

Either lung affected by tuberculosis.

There may be haemoptysis, streaks of blood with every sputum, cough, often
violent.
Dose Twice a day. In acute cases, four times a day.
Note Has been found to be effective mostly in the cases of haemorrhagic
phthisis, where haemoptysis is markedly present and coryza is also a
concurrent symptom. Because most of the symptoms were collected from the
suffering patients being treated with the iodide of Arsenic, so
Homoeopathically those symptoms as mentioned in the old Materia Medicas
could not be found always to be useful. Such process is not correct.

Re skin - Ars Iod 200 cured a rosacea case I had about 4 years ago. I came up with the Rx from the Mental and Emotional Sx in Sankaran's "Soul" if I remember rightly. In another Rosacea case it sorts out a right sided sinus every time she gets it in an acute flare up of a chronic condition but has not touched the rosacea. I have never given it higher than 30C though with that patient.

just saying that repetition of a remedy which is not
homeopathic to the case can produce a dissimilar
disease which can suppress the patient's symptoms.
Then it 'seems' that the remedy has cured the
condition. Repetition of large doses of dynamized
remedies can also cause suppression (transient or
long-lasting) if prescribed allopathically.

Simply saying that a remedy is good for Psoriasis,
eczema,.... shows that the totality of symptoms is
ignored and the prescription may be allopathic.

Disagree somewhat.
But then that's what makes a discussion forum.
I do sometimes feel that this tendency to 'text book' is king and nothing
else, and leaves little or no room for those that may be willing to broaden
their horizons - within the framework or foundations of Homeopathy.
One must adapt to certain trends in life. I doubt many of you are not
without a mobile phone? Well this is indeed technology that has its
advantages and disadvantages.
Medically speaking the disadvantages are yet to be proved - and I dare say
it will the current generations who will prove the disadvantages when they
begin to develop associated conditions later in life. Such a thing cannot be
measured or predicted until it happens - why? Because it is technology that
you can only predict will have such and such effects. The true effects are
proven through experience. That of course is a negative thing.
What are the foundations of Homeopathy? To treat with the principle of like
cures like within the framework of the totality of symptoms.
So...........does Homeopathy hae a trend? Well no..........and
yes...........
No because Homeopathy is a system that has its principles deeply embedded
into its own self belief of treating the person, not the disease.
Yes because Homeopathy needs to evolve :(within its own framework) to deal
with the new problems that are self inflicted upon mankind.
The beauty of Homeopathy is that because it treats the person with
associated symptoms, it does so in a way that one can say is outside the
realm of progressive disease and its morphing into other diseases.
However, one must progress nevertheless.
I doubt very much that LM was to be the last evolution of Homeopathy. If
Hahnemann had lived, I do not believe he would have sat on his LM theory for
the rest of his life. He would have progressed and evolved this fantastic
system medicine.

Yes, I agree. Hahnemann was a great experimentor always seeking a new remedy or a different way to perceive is all part of of how Hahnemann worked. One just have to see the 6th edition to noticed how he added and crossed out his writing as his understanding developed.
Hence yes, homeopathy will have to develop but I think is important is to keep being true to the heart of homeopathy, that way the teaching of Dr. Hahnemann will not be spoiled.
LM are just an example of the development of homeopathy.
