Minutus

I have a 7 year old patient who may have been exposed to scarlet fever
at school. Although she has no symptoms, her mother is worried that she
may develop the illness. Does anyone have experience with homeopathic
prophylactics for scarlet fever? Thx.

If I remember right in the Organon Bell is mentioned as specific (and
prophylactic?) for scarlet fever.

Hahnemann used Belladonna as a prophylactic during scarlet fever epidemics.
My son actually had the disease andI agreed with our homeopath to closely monitor the disease and intervene only if necessary. He had been treated homeopathically for a number of years and was able to move thro' the disease without any problems.
His school friend that was not treated homeopathically was sick for few months and had to take different antibiotics.

What about an epidemic analysis of the symptoms of

Banerji offers that Belladonna 30 given twice a day during a scarlet fever
(or mumps) epidemic and where chances of contagion are there, is a
successful prophylactic, however if scarlet fever has been contracted, Bell
3 acts better especially if fever is less and when not accompanied by
noteable mental symptoms
