Dear Barbara, in my opinion ichat (mac users) and skype are far superior to
yahoo messenger. I would probably want to use ichat but included skype as a
possibility for PC users.

Does anyone actually use the chatroom attached to Minutus? Maybe this is an
idea for the back burner for now.

Best wishes, Joy

I have found skype works brilliantly - you can block people from
seeing
if you are on line if you wish, it is down to you to personalise
your
settings. It is great to actually be able to have a proper
conversation
through your pc (providing you have speakers and a
microphone of course)
and it is free. I think it is a good idea.

I didn't know it existed. How does it work and how do you access it?

Just go to the Yahoo page for Minutus (where you can access all the messages
etc) and click on the chat option. You need yahoo messenger to operate.

Thanks will try it sometime. I use Messenger all the time to chat with my daughter and sister who live abroad.

greetings Joy and others,
on another study goup list we were sent a case and after one week all met at
a chat room, to discuss our findings etc, this was very intersting and very
educational and could really help in difficult cases or just as learning
tool.
Itis a little slower than being able to talk directly and spontaneouly but
still a great tool. In the moment of impatience some one else's comment
would print out and give me a new inspiration, so patience was a virtue in
the chat room along with all the great knowledge gathered.
good luck and I wouldn't mind checking in on the discussion too.
