Patient who did well on Nat Mur 30 but it wasn't lasting more than a couple of weeks and had to be repeated , was given Nat Mur 200 - one dose last Friday. She says she was wonderful until Wednesday and then her ME symptoms started to return. She phoned me back later today to say she had just remembered that she had 3 mint imperials after her meal on Wednesday lunch time and wondered if this could be the reason why she went down. I have said to ride it at the moment and see if she starts coming up again.

Do you think it is possible that the mints antidoted. According to my information it is possible with camphor. I would interested to know what others think.

Hi Rochelle
I beleive that in order for another substance/remedy to antidote another greatly depends on the particular remedy being used and how well it fits the individual. If it is a good choice in regards to being the simillimum then I find that it may be very hard to interfere with the action of the remedy. If it is close but not a good fit, then it appears to be more easily antidoted. I would also assume that it would depend on how deeply the remedy has acted. I find that it is very unlikely that a remedy that has gone deep would be easily antidoted.

I have to say that these are my thoughts as well which is why I told her to hang in there.

I've seen a few instances where mints antidoted. It's not all that common, but I guess like everything else it depends on individual susceptibility. I tell my clients that it's possible but not inevitable, and to pay attention if they do use mint, coffee, etc...

Hi Rochelle,
If it doesnt bounce back why not try taking the pellet of 200c and putting it in water, succuss, and then redose. Perhaps this will give it the gentle push that is needed.

But in this case, IMO, fact that 30c held only 2 wks suggests that the
rx is no so close???

I have to say after working on the case again I was going to give her Aurum Mur Nat but because the Nat Mur seemed to work so well I decided to stick with it and try going up a potency. I will see what next week brings!! With all her stuff I am not surprised that the 30 didn't last long but was very pleased the way it did act.Headaches better and then returned which was why she repeated the 30, no fibromyalgia or ME. She is on an anti depressant Ciprimil and takes loads of herbalife supplements as she is a rep for them!!! She may well be better on a water potency repeated frequently.
