Minutus

Hello everybody,
I am treating a boy aged 12 yrs who is suffering from haemophilia. He has recurrent joint complaints with effusion of blood into the joints espescially the elbow and wrist joints. He used to undergo subsequent transfusion of Factor 8 whenever a wound occurs. There is bluish discoloration in the joints. Any suggestion regarding homoeopathic management would be appreciated.

I think one of the results of bleeding into joint spaces is fibrosis.
After attempts to control bleeding I wonder if thiosamine would help
with this secondary problem.Just a thought, Jean

I have also been asked about treatment in a severely haemophiliac
child who is age 2 , is rejecting Factor 8 and I believe quite ill.
Would it be possible to help such a patient who has a genetic
problem from his carrier mother?

I think you could go a long way in treating this person but you have to be
confident and knowledgeable enough and have good case management methods.

Haemophilia is genetic disorder.U may select a remedy has bleeding tendency like Arnica phosphorus,Bryona etc depending on associated symptoms.
To treat Tendency U need to take into account Family history ie like Cancer ,Diabetes,Tuberculosis and any miasmatic graft.Nosodes like Carcinosin ,Tuberculinum and Medorrhinum are of very useful .Treatment should be along with growing age.One should not use any allopathic medicines for any other acutes ,should be on Homoeopathy only.
I have treated Two boys ,one with Carcinosin ,(grand father died of Rectum Cancer), other with Tuberculinum( was not putting on weight even with good diet and used to get frequent cold) in higher potencies ,repeating at long intervals say 30-40 days gap.Treatment prolonged for years.

Dear Doctor,
Thanks for the response. I am very happy that I could go according to your lines before you have replied me. I gave that boy Arnica 1M on the first visit itself for the joint problem. Further, on the second visit I gave Tuberculinum 1M also based on the principle as an intercurrent as well as a drug which is constitutional. The child has enlarged knotty cervical lymph nodes. Now, the boy has lost the echymotic discoloration on the joints. I think we are on the right path. Thank you doctor once again for your response.
