HI all and especially Andrew, Piet, Joy, Finrod, Wendy and Isali,
I thank you for your contributions to the case. I am learning much about the
different ways you each perceive a situation and the varying ways in which
you go about finding the potential remedy. Also the differing depths or all
encompassing of potential important symptoms between your casetaking.
I appreciate your assessment even if you have felt that the details were not
of your usual depth in casetaking.
A couple of points if I may. It was mentioned that the patient could be
'clairvoyant'. I don't think this is the case. She is more 'intuitive' which
I think is the term I used. i.e. seems to understand people well and be able
to assess a situation and the probable consequences. She also does not
appear resentful of the ills and manipulation around her but rather seems to
have more of an attitude that she will not participate in the 'games' and
allows people to get on with what they will but distances herself even if
that means not having association with family so as to not be embroiled.
'I sense she does not easily feel part of what is going on' perhaps could be
better worded as 'does not feel able to participate or that she belongs in
the way of life of those around her'
I do not see a 'Confusion, identity, as to his
Delusion, far off.
Unreal, everything seems
Dullness, understands questions only after repeating'
She appears very on the ball and always new ideas etc.
I would like to put you up to date with what I have done. I felt I needed
to do something for the patient while your suggestions were being discussed
[as per your okay Joy] so re-repped as basically as I could covering in
particular the physicals and allowing for a mental picture of anxiety but
without my embellishment
chest, tight
sneezing
mucous
fear
anxiety
cough
I looked at a few remedies and came up with kali iod. [which you also later
mentione din your interesting list Piet.] Although some symptoms of kali iod
are not present I find
acute catarrh of all mucous membranes esp. larynx and lungs
acute affections of respiratory organs
pneumonia
swollen glands, hard
present anxiety and depression
must be busy
melancholy
fear of people
desire to travel
fear of evil & overcarefulness
acute inflammation of lachrymal duct
sneezing
difficult almost wheezing respiration
stool variations
wedge-like pain from right ovary to uterus
croup caused by long-continued damp weather
asthma, hay asthma,
shortage of breath when talking
as if something resists expansion of chest
chest - external coldness
oppression sternum
swelling axillary glands
constant, heavy oppressive in region of heart [feels squeezed]
palpitation from exertion
pericarditis in complication with croupous pneumonia
incarcerated flatulence
limbs - constrictive sensations
numb feeling in thighs and legs
tearing in left elbow
enlarged lymphatic glands
worse lying on back and wet weather
5 days ago I made up ioduretted solution of potass. iod. dose 2 drops x 2
day first day. 2nd day patient awoke with rales in chest and coughed up a
lot of mucous. I put dose up to 5 drops twice a day for 2 days, then 10
drops x 2. patient has not sneezed since 2nd day. There has been no
difficult respiration, chest pain , heaviness or palpitations unless a dose
is missed and coughing has been reduced to approx twice a day in short bout
i.e. a minute or two, bringing up mucous which now is little.
Constrictive/bubbling feeling in left arm is almost gone. There has been no
flatulence since 2nd day, abdominal pain/bubbling sensation in ileocecal
region is minimal and patient feels constrictive/tingling sensation around
left knee may be slightly less.
I respectfully ask your kind advice from here
thankyou
Beverly
