From a stock of Myobacterium Tuberculosis of the bovine variety.
The vaccinating mother-stock suspension of the homoeopathic attenuations is
made from a film of this bacillus, cultivated on a background of Santon fluid.
An immunizing effect on the guinea-pig inoculated with Koch's bacillus was
observed by Desbordes and Paraf, with a 10-16 solution of B. C. G.
A Hahnemannian Proving was conducted by O. A. Julian in 1960-61, on six
provers, using the following potencies : 5c, 7c, 9c. (See Julian 1977, above).
As a result of a proving following the Hahnemannian method, this ex-nosode
is now both a biotherapeutic and a homoeotherapeutic remedy, for its
prescription will be made based on the symptomatological table of the remedy.
B. C. G. therefore possesses a double classification : a biotherapeutic
remedy and a homoeotherapeutic remedy, and for this reason is included in the
present work.
Symptomatology
Generalities
Extreme fatigue , head heavy, with diffuse pain in the occipital region.
Extreme chilliness , fever, rare and lasting only a short time.
Head dull, face pale, aversion to cigarettes.
Mental excitability , with tendency to exaggerate worries .
Persistent asthenia.
Tubercular conditions in thin types, always tired, and with chronic
constipation.
PHosphoric or carbo-phosphoric types, hypersensitive, nervous, uneasy,
restless.
Mind
Psychological
Easily irritated, angry, depressed.
Any noise annoys him .
Brain feels dull, difficult to find words, mental exercise tires him
quickly.
anxiety , vertigo , feeling that death is imminent .
Nervous
Headaches , especially in the late afternoon and evening.
Sleep disturbed with erotic dreams.
Prolonged insomnia in the latter part of the night.
Endocrine
Thyroid symptoms, with hyperthyroid tendency.
