Patients coming back

Re patients coming back, I've found that how the practitioner interacts with the client is crucial. I've learned that when I educate patients well on what to expect, and enlist them openly as my collaborators, letting them know how important their accurate observations are to our joint success in treating them, they generally get on board and become part of the process. This has often proven very helpful as their insights become clearer and they willingly share them with me, knowing that this clarity represents real progress.
Sometimes, too, after they've learned that a strange little symptom that they'd otherwise ignore can be crucial homeopathically, they are proud to be able to tell me about such symptoms when they notice them.
I find, too, that when I have them, before their first appointment, fill out a health history form that asks them specifically all the general questions -- heat, cold, cravings, perspiration, weather, etc, etc... and the major mental emotional symptoms -- that's also a very educational experience, and they come in prepared, having thought about these things, making it easier to get the whole case.
Not everyone can get into this mindset, of course, but 90% plus do, and they seem genuinely to appreciate what they're learning about homeopathy and about themselves. It helps us to build a good relationship that endures and works effectively.
