tsunami appeal

Hi,
have just returned from holiday and am not up to speed with what has been
posted. Forgive me if this is duplicated. The appeal attachment was sent to
me by Myriam Shivadikar who worked and trained with these people for some
years.

Dear Esteemed Worthy Colleague,
Happy New Year 2005 to you and your beloved family. You may
have heard of the tragedy of the Tsunami, earth quakes and tidal waves
engulfing Sri Lanka. We have suffered great damage and it is the single
large tragedy engulfing human beings of all time. We at Medicina Alternativa
have a great responsibility for about half the population (patients their
parents, kith and kin) over the last 51 years to whom we have granted free
treatment and support in all their needs in over half a century. In this
hour of need we strongly depend on you for your support. (Medicina
Alternativa has never before obtained outside support to benefit our
patients, in all its years of existence). We seek your good-will and
material support. Kindly send us contributions you can afford to Medicina
Alternativa Distress Fund 28, International Buddhist Center Road, Colombo
06, and Sri Lanka. Your credit card Number, Date of Expiry and your generous
contribution will be gratefully received and acknowledged. We are
Co-coordinating with the UN/WHO relief agencies. Food, Clothing, Shelters
(housing), Distress relief, Preventive Alternative Medicine Alternative,
suitable water supplies, disrupted education, Distress relief and
re-employment are the major goals of human rehabilitation.
