Yes.
I was fortunate to have my first homeopathic training through
Millersville and the NCH.
I had two weeks of "constitutional" types delivered by Catherine
Coulter-- essentially, her book before it was written.
I was enthralled. And I saw ME in almost all the remedies-- the most
likely candidates were Sulphur, Arsenicum, and Phosphorous.
Then I had my case taken by a knowledgeable homeopath. He sent me a
remedy with NO indication of what it was. I took it. It helped a
great deal.
At the follow up he asked what I thought he gave. I suggested
Arsenicum. He said (wisely): Yes. I saw that in you. You really
wanted it. But your "arsenicum" part is healthy. You like details.
You like making lists. You like keeping records. But NONE of that is
your pathology. It is simply who you are. If you were up all night
trying to scrub out the spot on the floor... well, THAT is pathology.
I did NOT give you Arsenicum."
And so it has always been.
We ALL have pieces of all the remedies. The question is to find the
pathology and to treat that-- irregardless of what the "essence" is
that is floating on the top.
Same doc treated a friend of mine. Did a snap judgement (bad idea).
Saw Sulphur and gave it. No effect. Follow up? Gave it higher. No
effect. Second follow up? Re-take the case and LOOK at it. Curative
remedy was Graphites.
So much for essences.
No gold headed cane for me!
