Mononucleosis?

Can anyone share experiences with treating mono?
Altho I'll be looking at google sites too, I'd like to hear what you folks
might have seen as far as useful prescribing symptoms, what (remedies and)
posologies have been useful, and how quickly people can recover once the
right remedy is given? (The person I'm considering is not at this point
diagnosed, but that's my suspicion; he's been sick for three weeks at this
point and is *slightly* improved, maybe...)

Thanks!
Shannon

The last time I treated this was memorable :-(

I had prescribed Ceanothus as the person was complaining about some pain in
the spleen area and it wasn't really helping as much as I had hoped so I
gave Carcinosin 200c. What possessed me to give a 200 I don't know, probably
the only potency I had (lazy prescribing on my part) and the reaction was
horrendous. But... he pulled through remarkable well and a whole load of
other old sx followed, all quite awful but he felt great most of the time
and was eventually elevated to a much higher level of health than ever
experienced - this was a young adult and had poor health ever since he was a
very young child.

I have always viewed this condition as a signifier of quite deep illness but
every individual case has to be taken on its own merits.

Hope useful, best wishes, Joy

Oh yes I had forgotten about Ceanothus. It is the one that Ian Watson recommends for anything to do with the spleen using Mother Tincture 5 drops tds with whatever remedy is needed.
