Dear Dimitri
You asked
"Is it possible to use a mixture of remedies in homeopathy?"
The answer is NO!
That is certainly not homoeopathy.
The fact that something is made by a 'homoeopathic' pharmacy does not make
it homoeopathic.
The only time a remedy prescribed is proved to be homoeopathic is when it is
selected based on the principle of SYMPTOM SIMILARITY and based on
information from provings etc and that subsequently the patient improves
and is cured.
It also needs to be prescribed on an individualised basis.
Even in epidemic 'acute' treatment where perhaps there is a choice from a
narrow band of remedies, the right remedy is selected on the basis of the
way the symptoms of the patient are showing themselves.
So combo remedies are unproved and therefore there is no 'homoeopathic'
justification in their use. They are for treatment of a disease rather than
the person!
Such combination remedies in my opinion may, if one is lucky have one
component which may help with some of the symptoms, but then leads to
confusion of the case and would cause difficulty in the chronic case
management.
Additionally some people have seen remedies such as Hepar Sulph etc and
think that these are combination remedies. They are NOT because the remedy
made from that compound has been proved so it is a single remedy.
As to your second question " is it possible to give a remedy for a week (for
a chronical problem), then the next day give another remedy"
The answer is that if the case demands a change of remedy, then there is not
reason not to change.
However it is not appropriate for the patient to be told after the
consultation, take A for a week and then switch to B etc.
Each change needs to be clinically justified and be suited to the patients
symptoms at the time of change.
Hope this has been of help to you.
Best wishes

hello all list members,
i have a question about a German company(the name will be given if
requested) which sells on the market a "flu and cold remedy" which is a
combination of 5 remedies(acon D4, bryon D4,lach D12, eupat perfol D3, phos
D5). The company claims that it accelerates the cure of colds and flues,
reliefs, and strengthens the immune system.
My questions are:
Is it possible to use a mixture of remedies in homeopathy?
And, is it possible to give a remedy for a week(for a chronical problem),
then the next day give another remedy(for another problem, for a few days)
and then directly continue with the previous remedy(for the chronic problem)
?
