I have patient who has suddenly come out with a theme of feeling invaded. It shows in her checking locks in her house ad the car - "I worry about people getting into my house and car." When I asked why she said invading her property. She talks about people invading her space. A woman upset her because she was commenting and butting in when she was telling a story. She says she wants to be in control and others are coming into it. Her last Rx was Thuja.

What Rx have this theme as I couldn't find much. Possible the ferrum series according to Scholten. It is not a Nat Mur, want to be on her own type of barrier.

Any ideas? Interestingly she told me that she was upset because I had not come up with a remedy for her at the consultation but wanted to work on it. Maybe I should have given sac lac!! I don't feel I should give you the full case as it would be invading her again!! She does now that i was going to ask for Rx on invasion. She is a homeopathy student but seems to expect me to know it all. She'll learn!!!

The rubric "fear of robbers" can be taken to mean fear/aversion to having
one's space invaded. With such exaggerated control issues she might need
Arsenicum.

Interesting as this comes up as the top Rx for other symptoms I have repped. I just don't see her as Arsenicum.

Thanks

Hi Rochelle,

I suppose you've looked at
MIND; FEAR; general; robbers, of (30) : agar., alum., anac., arg-n., ARS.,
aur., aur-s., bell., cand-a., con., cupr., elaps, ign., kali-p., lac-del.,
lach., lyc., mag-c., mag-m., merc., nat-c., nat-m., phos., sanic., sil.,
sol-t-ae., sulph., verat., zinc., zinc-p.

Do you know what was behind her being upset that you hadn't prescribed
on-the-spot--is she so desperate to get over something, or upset that you
aren't sufficiently omniscient, or ??

Then there's MIND; FEAR; general; invaded, of being (1) : lap-gr-m
(granite), speaking of small rubrics...

Has there been a change in the picture since thuja, or did it work for a
time and then stop, or ??

Shannon

We looked up Granite while I was with her and it doesn't suit. The Thuja was working fine and she felt really well until she encountered a woman who upset her.

I think it was the latter!! I did a load of EFT with her and she has emailed me since and told me that she has been working on those issues (the woman who upset her) and felt a lot better.

Firstly, if the Thuja is doing so well shouldn¹t you continue with it why
not?

Secondly, there seems to be issues of CONTROL as well as being invaded and
you would do well to get to the reasons behind these feelings, and if you
add to this feelings of omniscience (be clear about this it could also be
a sense of impatience or something else), you could start opening up the
case a bit. The rubric Œeasily offended¹ might be applicable.

There seems to be a level of wanting attention and yet not wanting attention
wants to be listened to but not wanting too much closeness. Loads of rx
come to mind.

Do you have any physical sx to offer.

Best, Joy

How did she respond to the woman who upset her? Is this a Staphysagria
situation?

Rochelle, here are some rubrics for you to consider. Not knowing
what is driving this woman's behavior (i.e. fear of danger, anxiety
for family, etc.), there are other rubrics I did not include:

MIND - CHECKING - twice or more; must check
MIND - THOUGHTS - compelling
MIND - RITUALISTIC BEHAVIOR
MIND - FEAR - robbers, of
MIND - INTOLERANCE
MIND - CARRIED - desire to be carried - fast
MIND - SUSPICIOUS
MIND - CAUTIOUS
MIND - FASTIDIOUS
MIND - ANXIETY
MIND - FEAR - control; losing
MIND - POSSESSIVENESS
MIND - INSECURITY; mental

The theme of control and a sense of insecurity (cross-reference to
MIND - Delusions - insecure; everything is) characterize Ars. It
would be good to know what this woman's boundaries mean to her and
how she or her family would be affected should those boundaries be
be violated. I believe that this is more important than the
boundaries themselves. Is she only obsessed with keeping intruders
out, or is there also something inside that she is protecting (i.e.
sense of order (MIND - REST - cannot rest when things are not in the
proper place), cleanliness, health/safety of loved ones, etc.)?
These are the details that will reveal the motivation behind the
behavior.

Another thought, Rochelle. Again, having so little information with
which to work, this may miss the mark, but you might consider
pursuing the angle of "violation" and a fear of being victimized
(Staph). Did she become indignant when interrupted? Has she ever
been the victim of a burgarly, home invasion, or other crime
(violent or otherwise)? Does "invasion" equate to "violation"
or "victimization" to her? Her being upset that you could not rx a
remedy on the spot might be interpreted as impatience or
irritability (?) Her anger when interrupted might be interpreted as
sensitivity to rudeness (?) Her issue with intruders might be
interpreted as MIND - Delusion - pursued; he was (?) Lots of ways
to explore this. It will have to be narrowed down.

Then, of course, one may have an Ars constitution and be in a Staph
state. But I don't think I want to go there...
