Can anyone compare Tuberculinum and Bacillinum for me--esp. anyone who uses
both?
Thanks!

Dr AU Ramakrishan says that Bacc is indicated for skin that scars and doesn't heal quickly.

I have used Bacillinum in three cases, two children and one cat, and in all
three cases my choice was dictated by food preferences. All three patients
showed a marked aversion to chicken, which, in non-vegetarians, I feel is
unusual.

Thanks Rochelle, but I'm thinking there must be more to it!
I had initially thought that the two were pretty much the same, but have
since gathered otherwise. Looking thru rubrics, I'm intrigued by some of
the rubrics that have bac but not tub, e.g.:

Indifference to eating (1; 9 rxs)
Lamenting, bemoaning (2; 101 rxs)
Morose, sulky, cross, ... in children (3!; 25 rxs)
Prostration of mind, brain fag (1; 292 rxs--I thought Tub should be there
too???)
Generalities, children, complaints in, delicate, puny, sickly (2; 9
rxs-shouldn't Tub be there??)
Enervation, ... easy (1; 6 rxs)
Weariness, morning (1; 83 rxs)

In the case I'm looking at all of these rubrics apply pretty strongly, and
I'm surprised not to see Tub there. Could this be an issue of the nosodes
in general being not so well represented? (And why would that be, come to
think of it?

In the past Tub has not worked for him, and I've always assumed that if Bac
were the needed remedy that Tub would at least give *some* good result?

Thanks!

Thanks Jenny!
Can you say more about those three cases? What were the other
symptoms/picture, and were there other food desires/aversions that you
recall?

I have looked high and low for notes that established for me the sense that
Bac was better if the symptoms were primarily on the physical plane, and Tub
preferable when there is a predominance of mental/emotional symptoms as well
as a family or personnal history that suggests a tub. miasm. Not sure where
that comes from. Also, I rarely use tub in an acute, but will use tub-av or
bac in severe coughs when the symptoms indicate--generally to good effect.
