Just was able to buy some old "Journal of Homeopathics". This Journal
was begin by Kent in 1897 and was continued through 1901. Most of it
everyone's already seen-- it was the first place that Kent's Lectures
on MM and Philosophy appeared.
But in the gaps, there are interesting cases from prescribers like
Nash, Yingling, and Case.

Pg. 93 Vol III A review of the American Institute of Homeopathy
Transactions for 1898.
It concludes:
"The 'transactions' as a work of medicine is full of information but
it does not meddle much with homeopathy. This seems to make the
'Institute' a very attractive body. It is large and respectable, but
let no sick man apply for aid as the members have all gone out of
business."

There is a great story of a prescription made by Hahnemann, and when
his student (Hartmann) asked him what he gave, Hahnemann replied:
"Have you listened to the examination and you do not know? Study your
Materia Medica!"

This was a story passed by Dunham who heard it from Dr. Meyer in
Leipzig in 1850.

A review of Stacy Jones' "Bee-Line Therepia and Repertory" is just one line:
"This principle aim of this little book seems to be to teach how not
to practice homeopathy."

On page 173 of volume I there is a clinical case from Kent.
A child had fallen off the bannister while sliding down it and landed
on his head. He had been unconscious for three days. The prognosis
was unfavorable for survival. The doc gave up. Kent was called.
Kent noticed that the child was leaking a clear fluid from his ear.
The fluid seemed acrid, in that it turned the skin red wherever it
touched.
Based on THAT symptom, Kent gave Tellurium. One dose. In two hours,
the child roused and vomited. Recovery ensued over the next week.
Kent says that when vomiting follows a head injury, the prognosis is
favorable for recovery.

probably have better homeopaths.
The thing is that MANY of the old IHA Transactions ARE available in
Encyclopedia Homeopathicica, but the folks who have that program seem
to use it as a "search" and never bother to just open the stuff up
and READ it.
