ASPARTAME - BMJ

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

Greetings everyone

The British Medical Journal recently ran an 'Editorial' article saying that
Aspartame was safe.

Sadly we live in an age where scientific journals can be hijacked.
Editorials are supposed to be unbiased and high-light both sides of the
coin. This one was not and was badly researched. Alarmingly; one of the
authors - Prof Lean - is also an advisor to UK Food Standards Agency - who
have never commissioned any safety trials on aspartame and absolutely refuse
to undertake or fund any.

Please see some of the responses that this inadequately researched article
drew.

Please see http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/eletters ... /755#76712

Interestingly Dr Nick Finer - Medical Advisor to Ajinimoto (one of the main
manufacturers of Aspartame) tries to defend the safety of this product.
As Nixon said, if you repeat a lie enough times, people believe it!

Please read the whole article.

Please forward and pass it on to friends and relatives who may be unaware of
this particularly nasty substance now in a lot of peoples' every day foods,
drinks and medicines and vitamin supplements.

Regards
Soroush
