Can anyone advise me on suitable remedies for vegetarians? Which remedies are obtained by killing animals, insects etc and which are done humanely, for example for apis? Is there a quick reference list available anywhere or do I have to research the whole materia medica! thanks

Our remedies have no material only the vital force of plants, or minerals,
or animals, or insects, or reptiles. Even the most astute of vegetarians and
believers of non-violence are known to have no objectons to homeopathic
remedies. One simply cannot find find any chemical test to find any
molecules in any remedy beyond the twelfth centesimal potency, which is
beyond Avogadro's number.

I agree 100%. Also, it might be of interest to realize that most, if not
all remedies are extremely humane. They were generally originally derived
either from tissues of animals that have already died, or from renewable
parts of the animal -- milk, secretions, feathers, skin, etc... This may
not be entirely true, as with, for instance, a spider -- but then one spider
provided the origins for many, many, many doses of the remedy -- another way
of looking at the humaneness of the process, that it is very sparing of its
original material.
For what it's worth....

Hello,
It is true that our remedies do not have the original material, but to prepare them we have to chop, grind, succus, etc. For example, As far as I remember, Formica is made of alive ants and it can be considered inhumane by vegetarians.
By the way, what rubrics do you suggest for vegetarians?
Example 1: Mind, Religious, ...
Example 2: Blood, Can't Look at, ...
Sincerely,
Feras

Dear Feras:
The following rubrics (in Synthesis) apply to vegetarians and also to non
vegetarians:
Example 1: Mind: Fanatacism, REligous affections
Example 2:Generals: Faintness: blood; sight of to which you must add: Aloe
(Vithoulkas) and syph.(Grimmer)
It is more inhumane to make human beings suffer disease than to cure them
with a remedy made from a living creature, whose life was usd humanely. We
need to introspect ourselves daily re our thoughts, words and deeds, and
from such introspection improve all aspects of our beings.
Kind regards

I think each Veggie is different and it would be wrong to band them all
together - You would be presuming and that is not good Hom practise.
You could also give consideration
Sympathetic
Love - Animals for
Aversion Meat
Or Fear of disease (BSE etc) can drive people to become veggies. So you
really need to find out why a person is vegetarian.
