Update on my Mother - heading towards cure it seems!!!

Hi all,
on September 18, I posted some info on my mother (not a complete case),
just to see if anything struck anyone......ideas of remedies to look at. I
had been working with my mother's illness since mid April. I started my
tours in early June and had non-stop tours (own a tour company) from then
until a few weeks ago (with occasionally a few weeks in between). Had
another homeopath following her.
He had little success. I was so occupied, did what I could, but was having
little success and so frustrated as I did not have the time I needed and
really had no choice in the matter. Finally I was home for 2 weeks in the
middle of September.
So finally, when she was facing a visit to a psychiatrist on the 27th of
September to evaluate psych meds to help her, I wanted to do all I can in
the week I was home, before this appointment. I did NOT want these meds
and neither did she, but all were desparate!
Many homeopaths on these 2 lists came forward with suggestions and further
questions to help we see the forest for the trees at that point. On
September 21, I gave her Lycopodium, a suggestion from Chris Newenham.
When she suggested that, I thought, no way. I had looked at lycopodium due
to the many GI symptoms she had and some of the modalities. BUT in no way
did I see my mothers' personality as Lycopodium (this is ANOTHER wake up
call to myself and any of you - NOT to go by these things that get
instilled in us). I took another look carefully at the older material on
Lycopodium, and thought that it was definitely worth a try and SO MUCH fit
(other than what I saw as her 'personality').
I gave 1M of Lyc - and within a day started to see some major changes for
her. She started having what she described as severe pain in upper
abdomen, waking her in the night. She wanted to take aspirin and I
discouraged. She used a hot water bottle and got through that. She then
said she felt some better in her GI tract.........I thought this to be a
great symptom! Felt her GI symptoms finally localized. A few days later
she had similar pain in her rectal area which also passed. A few days
after the Lyc (which only really helped the GI aspect), she still was
having severe anxiety in the morning with moaning and pacing and groaning -
terrible, if you could have heard her. She then said to me "I feel so
fragile". Welllllllllllllllllll
I had looked at Thuja a week before this and much fit and almost had my dad
get some just in case. But I instead looked at all again and posted to all
of you. She had never said the word 'fragile' before, but I felt that is
what she was describing. So, I had 2 days before I was leaving again and 4
days before she saw the psych. I gave her 200C
Thuja.....................and she started to get better. It was truly
amazing (as we all know it can be). She improved and
improved..........even just in that first 4 days. She went to the psych,
was able to tolerate the trip (which always before put her over the edge -
going out to see a doctor or anything like that). She was able to talk to
her for an hour. She told her about homeopathy. She told her about the
doctors/nurse practitioner before giving her so many meds in one day. The
psych finally said 'you basically are depressed' - NO KIDDING. Yes, you'd
be depressed too if your life was turned upside down with this since the
day you were given double dosage of BP meds that you never needed. My
mother was not depressed before all of this mess. Anyone, you know the
routine, she prescribed Atavan and an antidepressant.
Well, by this time I was leading another tour in Ireland and checking in
with my mom several times a day. My parents walked out of the psych
office, didn't stop at the desk, didn't make another appointment, didn't
fill the RX. And my mother continued to do amazingly well. Appetite
coming back, eating well, not going over the edge and moaning and groaning
and frantic and pacing. Also able to read again - last few months couldn't
even read a book. Couldn't talk to anyone other than my dad or myself.
Couldn't talk to neighbors or on the phone. And that started to change.
And diarrhea ALSO stopped. She said she still 'felt on the edge' and still
felt fragile, but not going over the edge. She uses the words 'the edge',
over the line, over the hill a lot. After 3 weeks, her anxiety started to
return some. We waited a few days and when no improvement, repeated Thuja
200C. Felt better for a few days and relapsed. Gave Thuja 1M. Felt
better for more days, but then relapsed a little again (not totally, but
definitely going backward). No new symptoms. Just anxiety returning. We
worked with trying to limit her activity for fear she was overdoing it.
She tried doing some work around the house and then resting for an hour or
more. So, even with that, still saw a return of the anxiety. So repeated
Thuja 1M last week. So far so good. We are working to build her up - her
strength too - she had lost 35 pounds (140 down to 105 pounds). SHe's up to
108 and we are encouraged.
So, that's where we stand. It is unbelievable HOW MUCH better she is. It
just wasn't ending and she was spiraling down and down. She now is able to
talk with people she meets outside while working a little with her flowers,
she talks on the phone, she can call on the phone to order things, she is
eating well. No foods bother her. She does not have diarrhea. She is not
pacing or moaning. She can read, play games, cook meals (my dad was having
to do all of that), do laundry. She feels she might get her life back, but
she is nervous. She does feel the edge - she says 'its right there'.
Although that is better too. She is impatient and wants to be all better.
So, I would like to see the 'edge' be gone. But waiting and hoping
time............but may need 10M.
So again, thanks to all so much who tried to help and give me food for
thought, places to look, things to consider.
Any thoughts or comments?
