The British summer was virtually non existent this year - it seemed to never
stop raining and so this has prompted me to write about SOL as the new
remedy of the month on the web site.

Hi Joy,
Neat remedy! Have you ever given it (or read of it given) constitutionally
-- and/or for heatstroke etc.?
When my daughter as a toddler had heat exhaustion -- or whatever -- she went
down down with pounding headache and high fever -- she responded well to
Belladonna (had the keynote(?) of icy feet together with furnace-like heat
of the head. I wonder whether sol would also have worked -- do you have an
opinion?

(That was an interesting experience... Her response in the first few
minutes - as she restlessly slept - was that her feet became hot *too*,
which made me nervous, but shortly after it all normalized, and she was
completely fine by morning! Another "cool" Belladonna adventure." I do
like Belladonna!)

cold limbs with a hot head.

I too have seen so many excellent results with belladonna - if I could only
ever have one rx, it would be belladonna

Sol is a regular part of my summer first aid kit - in NZ the sun is unbelievably strong with a burn time often as low as 15 minutes, even when it doesn't feel that hot. To add to that, people spend a lot of their days outside. Sol seems to lessen the burning effect if given before going out in the sun, and I've also seen it prevent blistering when given soon after noticing being burnt - redness, stinging and heat - before sunstroke has set in. I wonder if there is a polarity for people who sufer from SAD?
