the disease does not thereby mysteriously vanish. A cursory reading of the
organon shows this, eg Hahnemann recommends belladonna for prophylaxis in
scarlet fever. If there are no individuating symptoms we don't make them up.

Sourahs, i am still waiitng your advice on where in Organon Hahnemann
recommends the constitutional remedy as a vaccination prophylaxis. Or was it
some other master you were referring to?

Dear Andrew,

I do not believe that I said that "constitutional remedy acts as a
vaccination prophylaxis".

What I said was that if some one receives their constitutional remedy - it
is unlikely that they would succumb to an illness. What I mean to say is
that if the constitutional remedy has managed to put the VF back 'on the
rails' as it were, then the patient is no longer (highly susceptible) and
therefore unlikely to fall victim to epidemics.

How else do you think Hn managed to survive malaria and cholera etc which he
himself use to treat?
======
In terms of Scarlet fever, one can have an epidemic.

But with Anthrax it is unlikely that we will have an epidemic. There is no
transference from person to person. The only way we are likely to have an
'epidemic' (i.e. a lot people falling ill with the disease at the same time)
of anthrax is whether the terrorists manage to contaminate a lot of people.
In which case, they will have lung symptoms associated with this type of
attack and I believe we have already discussed the various remedies that may
be useful.

Good healing.

Soroush - Please note the spelling!!!!!

you are of course wrong in suggesting - if you are - that this means a
constitutional remedy. What he gave was remedies applicable to the immediate
symptoms, not something to so with the underlying constitution of the
person. The same applies in the case of prophylaxis - belladonna as a
prophylaxis for scarlet fever, not a constitutional remedy. If you are not
referring to the Hahnemann as one of the 'masters' which recommends
constitutional prophylaxis then who are you referring to?

Hello,
There are situations where nearly all the people are
affected; that is when the affecting agent is too
strong (e.g. nuclear radiation, strong epidemics). In
these situations, even the healthiest people with high
vital force could be affected and so, homoeopathic
prophylaxy is helpful.

Any idea?

Sincerely,

Feras

i think Suroush makes a good point about the use of a constitutional remedy,
but i imagine in the case of [heaven forbid] smallpox i think the use of
variolinum or puls etc would be more advisable. Could there be any downside
to taking variolinum as a precaution i wonder?

The person (homeopath) who may come close to this is Massimo Mangiolovori,
in Italy. And then I may not be 100% correct; maybe I have misunderstood his
ideas. I have never come across this in the Organon. Kind regards, Ahmed N.
