liquid posology /was: Hyperparathyroid

Post by Dave Hartley »

Someone referred to "water potency."

There has been a great deal of discussion & instruction on the use &
preparation of the medicinal solution as used in Hahnemann's system of
liquid posology.

Instead of having the very limited means of adjusting the dose with dry
pillules, using liquid posology yields the ability to adjust-

1. the dilution of the original medicinal solution
(1 pillule in 4oz water + 1oz alcohol is a relative standard)
2. the number of succussions which the solution is subjected to prior to
dosing
(1 thru 10 are common. Adjust to suit individual case)
3. the amount of this succussed medicinal solution which constitutes a
dose
(1 tbsp is common, but anywhere from a teaspoon to 2 tbsp is
reasonable,
again, this is another variable in fine-tuning the posology to
fit the
individual case)
4. the amount in step 3 may be taken directly by mouth, or further
diluted

As one may imagine, this gives a LOT of potential variation, for fine
tuning your posology in order to maintain optimal curative effect
WITHOUT aggravation.

David Little has quite a bit of interesting reading on this and other
posology issues on his website in "the Littlelibrary"
