OT: Investing in homeopathy

Hi Board,
I'm delurking to make a quick statement.
I understand that David did not like the INVESTING propostion that
was once presented to him, but I have to say this to remind people
about how businesses run in this lovely world of ours.
People do ask others to invest in their endeavors. There's nothing
wrong with it, but as always, there are always a scammer around and
you can always say no. As I mentioned to David, getting investors is
how Bill Gates got started and look at where he's at now.
Maybe, it's not a bad idea after all to have people invest or
contribute. Maybe established homeopaths or people who have tons of
money to donate and have benefitted from homeopathy can give money to
an established homeopathic school. It can be used as a scholarship
for an outstanding homeopathic student who is poor, just like the
medical colleges do. It's a way of giving back to the homeopathic
community and increasing the homeopathic practitioners.
The investing David is referring to is just that, investing to
hopefully grow in size or make money in return w/o having to work for
it, kind of like playing the stock market (although that has been
lousy for me, but that's another issue) or in any business of any
kind. It's like starting a homeopathic pharmacy, you need to invest
and hope that you will make a lot of money in return. Or if you go
to a school and spend thousands of your hard earned money in hopes to
get many clients and reap the reward of charging $80+ an hour.
I hope this makes people understand that investing is always that bad.
