Hi Gail,
Actually your symptom delivery is apt to be better if you *don't* learn too
much! Homeopaths and homeopathy students are some of the most difficult to
have as homeopathic patient, partly because it becomes harder to stay out of
it and let the *treating* homeopath make the decisions, and also easier to
pre-judge and over-interpret symptoms and experiences, rather than just
relaying them as one is *experiencing* them (or as your child is expressing
them, or etc.). It will be your *homeopath's* job to ask for the
information that he needs!
But at the same time, learning more about homeopathy is a wonderful thing
and I'm not (at all!) trying to discourage that; just realize that (a) you
*don't* need it in order to convey what's needed, and (b) when you're in
"patient mode" you'll have to do your best to leave "student mode" aside.
Which can be difficult, but heck, life's like that.
