fear of vomiting

Hello!

I have frequently come across a fear of vomiting that amounts to a phobia being presented by a patient. Sometimes the phobia extends to seeing other people vomiting.
What ways can this fear/phobia be translated into rubrics/remedies ? And has anyone any comments on the significance of such a fear or phobia?

Theresa,
What is it about the vomiting that scares her? What does she see in her
mind as the outcome of what will happen when one vomits? Did she have a
frightful experience when she/family member/friend had vomited at one point
in her life?

Hi:
As I searched the Synthesis there are several rubrics
pertaining to vomiting and mind:
1/vomiting;anguish,with
2/vomiting;anxiety,on
3/vomiting;confusion,amel
4/vomiting;despair,during
5/vomiting;dullness,amel
6/vomiting;fear,death
7/vomiting;deficiency,ideas,amel
the first one seems to be of help to you.
Knock,it shall be opened.Seek,it shall be found.Ask,it
shall be granted.

Hi,
Regarding this, I personally hate to vomit, but some people don't. In my
life, vomiting was characterized by my mom as something awful that I
shouldn't do. So maybe the person being treated for this "fear" (or
revulsion or whatever) is afraid not of vomiting but of what "bad thing might
happen" if she does it -- like an association with a past experience.
