Dear Sara,
Thank you for the information and the breath of sanity. And, Theresa,
thank you also - I haven't stopped laughing. Spam (and, yes, I remember
the tinned variety from childhood with disgust!!) may not be good for
heart disease but, with so many people suffering from heart problems
unnecessarily, whatever can be gleaned about it and shared by health
professionals is surely valid for discussion on a site such as this.
What is the point of treating people who constantly create more health
problems for themselves with poor diet, lifestyle and water and undo any
good we have done perhaps because we have not been able to answer some
of their questions? Are we trying to help people or line our pockets
because they need to return for more treatment when they become ill
again? Of course, we need to evaluate and consider carefully all the
research being done but to ignore it all leaves us open to the kind of
criticism we probably make about conventional medicine and its often
blinkered approach.
David, having listened to all your comments about homeopathy being so
important to you as the only valid method of treatment, etc. etc. over
the past couple of weeks, I was amazed to visit your web site and find
you advocating your craniosacral therapy and massage also
.................
I have deep respect for homeopathy and for my patients. I am hoping to
learn from this site what conditions and circumstances would suggest
that I recommend someone goes to a homeopath (and I am realising that
the boundaries I imagined are constantly being stretched) - and whatever
else the site produces that is useful for me to know. The quality of
discussion has been very impressive and the attitude of those
participating has been, on the whole, very encouraging and admirable and
made me want to learn more and more about homeopathy. I would also like
to thank all of those who have contacted me off list - the group
obviously contains some fascinating viewpoints which some are a little
concerned about expressing officially, which is rather sad but which I
understand and respect. Perhaps that makes the group even more
interesting.
I am grateful for the whole spectrum.
