Did you cure the patients of it? I did a web search and it seems to be self
limiting to 2 years. As I said she has so much wrong with her it is
difficult to know where to start and what is uppermost!!!!

These 2 yes but another couldn't find the best rx for it, even though
one of the snake rx seems well indicated but a lot of allopathic drugs
were involved. Had to dig the notes out, the Gels case also had
Belladonna for acute painful phases, when it is really bad it can seem
like meningitis. Both case were middle age/elderly and had 'flu jabs -
possible causation?. You want to check out polymyalgia rheumatica as
well as it is very similar, had cases of this and again Gels comes up.
Not heard of it being self limiting but it can seem to disappear for
awhile but it comes back.

If you are not sure where to start with a case then rank the sx then at
least you will have 'built' a case based on priority. Joy

Interesting as the patient intended to have flu jab this week. I hope I have
put her off!!

I wouldn't count on temporal arteritis to be self-limiting.
Especially if low androgen levels may be fostering inflammatory
and autoimmune tendencies (e.g. Sjogrens, sense of brain
inflammation, etc). When a person "has so much wrong with them"
I think hormones, global effects.
