Notwithstanding that many of us think you are weird :-)) don't we have to be
careful how we judge the remedies in our MM's.

To me a centrifugal force is no more weird than Luna, Electricity, Sol,
Mephites, X-Ray, Phallus Impudicus, Tribulus etc etc. They are all weird and
wonderful but we have to be objective. So many times I come across people
saying they cannot possibly prescribe such and such a remedy because they
don't understand it, or know it or don't like it, cannot relate to it and
thus the simillimum is missed.

Centrifugally yours, Joy

You have to be careful not to mix remedies made from THINGS with
those that are IMPONDERABLES.

Mephites is VERY REAL-- as anyone knows who has ever smelled skunk
or, worse, received the blast full in face. The remedy is made from
the anal gland of the animal which is immersed in alcohol for several
months. There is nothing imponderable about it. AND it received a
full proving from none other than Hering.
Phallus imp. is a fungus, and HAS been subject to a proving.
Tribulus is An East Indian plant (Ikshugandha) that is known mostly
through herbal usage.

These three are VERY different things than the imponderables you mix
them with in tyhe above paragraph.

X-ray, although an imponderable, is made by a known process. We are
all aware of the dangers of exposure to x-ray. Fincke's instructions
were quite clear-- one dram of alcohol, subjected to the radiation
from a Crooke's tube for 1/2 hour. The alcohol is then potentized.

Electricitas is a bit stranger-- a current is passed through
milk-sugar which is then triturated.

Luna and Sol and a bit further out on the spectrum (as it were).

If the remedy was called "centrifugal force" I would probably not
have a problem. Calling it "time" is what gives me the problem.

It is certainly NOT as real as Mephites-- of which I've had some
direct experience-- with both tincture and the animal itself.

If you want *strange* I have, in my collection, a bottle of 6X
trituration labelled "Sem Ovum/ Testiculus ovi" . It comes from B&T.
I'd date it as late 1880s. I've often wondered whose semen it was....

Dear Joy,
I really think it is the name I objected to hence the !! in the title. How can I tell a patient that I am giving them a Rx called Time? I would far rather it was called Centrifugal force!!! Nuela's provings do tend to be the ones we need for today!!
