Stages of AIDS.

Stage 1 Infection occurs. A few weeks after infection, there might be a flu-like reaction as the body attempts to throw off the virus. This "flu" passes usually without much notice by the patient.

Stage 2 Asymptomatic stage. Person may not notice any symptoms at all. Untreated, this stage can last 1-10 years. Eventually there is a growing increase in frequency of diarrhea, "flu", "colds", fevers of unknown origin (FUOs). Perhaps there is a single bout with TB, herpes, etc.

Stage 3 Symptomatic stage. Increasing frequency in FUO, diarrhea, colds, flus, respiratory problems, joint pains, skin infections, Kaposis, TB, herpes, etc. For example the diarrhea grows from 4 times a year to a constant diarrhea. Or the once a year "flu" now becomes monthly.

Stage 4 Full Blown AIDS is considered to be when the CD4 count is below 200. (But this allopathic measure is not always a true marker. You can have CD4 of 0 and be very healthy without any sxs at all) Multiple sx that don't respond to allopathic meds. etc. The immune system is non-functional.

NOTE: AIDS need not be a death sentence.
Do not give up on your patient. But you may have to be vigourous & diligent in re-establishing the immune system with nutritional and herbal supplement alongside homeopathic medicines.

NOTE: CD4 count.
This marker is (holistically) inaccurate in the sense that a person can have "good health" and a very low CD4 count. A better marker would be the Viral Load Count.

It has been found in different studies of herbals and even in PC1 that it may take a while for the CD4 count to respond to alternative medicine. It may even go down initially.

An explanation proposed for this is that the herbal may kill the infected CD4's along with the free-cell virus, (but they were unhealthy blood cells anyway) apparently showing then, a lower CD4 count. After the eradication of the virus the cd4 count will again begin to rise after a few months after treatment has begun.

In other words, in your treatment of patients, don't be spooked by a low cd4 count. Stick to homeopathic principles and look for an increase in health and decrease in sx.
