I think it is important that posts like yours should "publicly" be
acknowledged as being excellent!
I myself have all too often received private mails telling me how much
the writer agrees. As my mails tend to be off the main trend very
often, it then seemed that the writers did not want publicly to
acknowledge their agreement to views that are "off the main line. This
seems a shame, since it effectively isolates "minority views".
This is the reason why I asked Barbara to post this mail.
Other than that I can only say that I fully agree to all you say.
There is nothing I want to contradict, relevate or add. You made a
complete case.
One comment only, just as another example:
In his "keynotes" Nash dscribes a case of tuberculinum. He and others
had tried many remedies without success. He consulted a collegue who
prescribed tuberculinum, which cured. Asked for the basis of his
prescription, he said that on palpitating there had been a "doughy
feeling". Hmm......... Seems to demonstrate your points.
