Off hand, I'd say it has to do with issues of safety.

Allopathic medicine does NOT comprehend homeopathy and tries to
assure safety very early on.
Used to be, to make Medorrhinum, you would get a sample of a
discharge from the penis of a sufferer, and just make the remedy.
Now, you have to render the discharge *sterile* before it can be
processed. God knows HOW doing THAT changes the remedy.
That's the same with most nosodes-- if it is infectious, it MUST be
sterilized to make the product.
I have no idea if any of the modern made nosodses even work....
The OTHER problem is getting a "recipe" to make it. At least for
"X-Ray" the recipe is known: so much alcohol, so much radiation for
so long.
We do NOT know this for the other nosodes, so NONE of them were EVER
listed in the Pharmacopoeia, so none were (at least in the USA) ever
"offical" drug products.

Hi,

It is not sure that all the nosodes are banned.

DHU from Germany sent me their last catalog (2003 18th edition) and some
nosodes are still registered there.

Try their website: www.dhu.de

I find this fascinating. I would think that the difference in effect of a
remedy made from a virulent, contagious substance would *have* to be very
different from one made from a sterilized product. This might be a
situation where a radionically prepared remedy might be preferrable???

In fact, if the sterilized version worked the same as the virulent version,
to me that would be fully as weird as any of the "paper remedy" or "remedy
given by thought transmission" sagas -- wouldn't it?!?!?!?!

Shouldn't a change in source material (e.g. virulent vs. sterilized) be
reflected in a change to the name of the remedy?

Julian, do you happen to know whether any pharmacies today still have
nosodes made from non-sterilized sources? Or is this another like the
cannabis issue, that it would be attributed properties (narcotic/infectious)
based on the name rather than on any rational basis, e.g.
narcotic/infections properties? Sigh, what a funny world...

Hi,

I did a personal research regarding the sources of TODAY's INFLUENZINUM,
and I was disappointed to know that most of the manufactureres use the
VACCINE
to make the remedy.

I personalluy and at least one other homeopath (Dr. Josef Rozenzweig that
posted his reply
to my post here several months ago) - found it to be without any effect.

Only the *|live virus* had given good results.

Mm, cheery news!
Rafy, do you know what manufacturer(s) uses live virus for influenzinum?

The only one that I know is: Ainsworths.
Maybe Nelsons too - But they did not reply to my emails, if I remember
correctly.

I beg your pardon for mixing up in THIS discussion, while I was obviously not
meant personally but somebody else, however, by making THIS remark, you do
not seem to believe in homeopathy, do you? I mean, the whole point IS that
homeopathy works on the subchemical level, which is the energetical one.
Besides this, the upper remark regarding the flu nosode original vs. vaccine,
was very good and authentic homeopathical.
Kind regards, Dr. medic. Viorel V. Bucur (www.dr-bucur.com).
P.S. Nosodes are banned in Germany, because Germany always was, is and will
be a country which is more catholical than the Pope himself. This is by nature
so or, to put it in another words, "constitutional".

Simillimum in Wellington does, but I think the source is from Ainsworth or Helios in the UK.

Hello,

Helios do not have it.

They told me that they buy it from Boiron france, and Boiron france told me
that they use the VACCINE that they buy from pasteur institute.

So the only reliable source could be Ainsworths.
