Dear Soroush,
Here I think that you're asking about chronic miasms. Don't you? Because 'miasm' in Hahnemannian terminology is actually a synonym for contagious (infectious) disease.
And about chronic miasms. The concept of chronic miasms helped Hahnemann to find the simillimum accurately. You know that the concept of chronic miasms was derived from epidemic prescription in acute miasms. Epidemic prescription is just an aid for better application of the principle of simillimum. Prescription with consideration of chronic miasms helps us in many cases to find the simillimum. There are some homeopaths that do not consider the concept of miasms but are good prescribers because they have learned to find the simillimum by another analytic approach or their own way of thinking. If it is simillimum, it is!
So if you do not find the simillimum, you can not cure the case and you will have an obstacle in your practice! What Hahnemann says in Aph 3 about obstacles, in my humble opinion, is not about chronic miasms.
Regards,
Ardavan
