remedy reaction

Hi Friends,
Can we have a brief discussion on 'remedy reaction'.
I am most interested in your thoughts on how long to wait if a
client is taking a remedy
before trying another remedy. I am primarily a LM prescriber, and I
think LMs tend to react a lot more quickly than C potencies. (I would
like to know your thoughts on this also.)
Am aware remedy reaction depends on the pace of the remedy
itself. One of my post grad students gave Baryta Carb to a person, in LM
potency, and as she says, "I would bet my life that this person is a
baryta carb", yet the remedy in the last 2 weeks (two doses) has not
appeared to act. (As an aside here, I spilled some Bar c LM medicating
potency on my fingers, and it took 2 months to act, either that or it
crept up on me insidiously). So, I told the student to try daily doses
for awhile and to instruct the client to stop when a reaction occurrs.
Student is dissapointed so I thought I would ask for some comments I
could share with her.
Next, for myself, I gave Lycopodium LM 1 to a client, and the
remedy was incredibly well indicated, and he has not appeared to respond
to the remedy. The allo diagnosis is Parkinsons, so I am not surprised
that he has not reacted quickly, although Lyc tends to be a more
responsive remedy. Lyc is not in Morrison's list of remedies for
Parkinson's - but Lyc fits the client well. I am wondering if I should
have use more of a remedy to address the Parkinson's itself and then
follow with what is probably the constitituional (Lyc).
Thanks for your thoughts, am still functioning a bit under that baryta
proving myself.
Warmly, Maria
