Sil 30c in a chronic case

Hi,
Sil is a deep acting and long acting remedy.
I once took one dose of 30c and got the results (in my fingernails) after 3-4 months.
A weak patient can not tolerate a potency that is above the 30c. He is given one dose of SIL 30c.
How and when could I judge if the remedy is working and if it needs repetition? How much should I wait and see?
I know that some homeopaths may give 4-7 doses - during 4-7 days, and then wait.
What is your approach here (considering that it is a deep and slow acting remedy)?
Regards,
Rafy
