parts, soft tissue, periosteum, bones. Stacy Jones mentions cancer.

I would especially check the mental symptoms, the characteristics, the
generals. That seems to be decisive in your case, as you say:

issues mentioned above as well as the child's development, from birth to
puberty, and refers to the interaction between mother and child as well.

If you fond the similimum, be it Silicea or not, potency is another
question that arises. Not to low, because it will be a constitutional,
not to high, because there is cancer, tricky question. Maybe a case for
LM especially because of the scans? Perhaps some LM specialists can
comment on that question.

I totally agree with what you've written.

Very true! The question is what is behind the symptom cancer, behind the
"genetic mutation". At such an age (4 years), it is most likely the
manifestaion of a syphilitic miasm (the 3rd of Hahnemann's three)

But the most important help for deciding on the similimum is the what
you have mentioned as well. Generals, development, interacion, Mind,
etc.

Maybe you can do both, observe mother with child and the child alone, it
sometime helps to compare the differences of the child's behaviour.
How true, parents got their own filters, some are typical constitution
(well explained in Jus Mohinder Singh, Kindertypen - worthwhile reading,
not only to exclude or certify Silicea )
Why in difficulty? It's just a question of evaluation. What the child
says is part of the OBSERVATION.

That's a great idea, of course one has got to check and countercheck it,
but it is a very good hint.

There the question arises: Which ear was it? Oleander has got a tendency
to manifest in the LEFT ear.

Please excuse me - but has Oleander got fears? I think EXCESSIVE fear of
needles is a very prominent feature.
The only symptom concerning fears I found in Oleander was: "Anxiety
about the heart, without anxious thoughts, with trembling of all the
body, for several hours (aft. 7 h.). [Lr.]"
Well once again it's a question of evaluation. Of course, Mind is on top
of the list - as far as it comes to make decisions on the similimum ,
but there should be more mental peculiarities in this case than merely
fear of needles.

I got my some reason to think of Silicea, but I think it is better for
Maria to check by herself, I don't want to influence her. And I say

Of course Sil was on my mind too. There are VERY strong indications for it,
but we have been given barest info so far.

That is why I said consider Oleander.

(It makes you learn another rx in the process doesn't it )

The other point is that our repertory is so poor in some cases that some sx
are often not reflected in the repertory. So as Dr Shahrdar correctly says
we can only rely on good MM.

I have a suspicion that this child does not communicate well - hence I
mentioned that there may be some difficulty.
But if this child is silica, you would know from the time you touch his
hands/feet.
(Dr Shahrdar had a pt that we saw together when I was visiting him and as
soon as we touched his hands we both looked at each other - It was such a
lovely Sil case - as per MM)
